Sidewalks, Walkways & Flatwork
Safe, attractive walkways and flatwork that connect your property and enhance curb appeal.

Why Professional Sidewalks Matter
Sidewalks and walkways do more than just get you from point A to point B. They create safe paths around your property, protect your landscaping from foot traffic, and add a finished look to your yard. Professional walkway installation in Sunrise Manor ensures these paths stay level and safe for years.
A proper sidewalk has a solid base underneath and the right slope for drainage. It also has smooth edges and a finish that prevents slipping when wet. These details matter because a poorly built walkway becomes a trip hazard and looks bad after just one winter.
We build sidewalks and walkways for homes and businesses throughout the Las Vegas area. Whether you need a simple path from your driveway to your front door or a network of walkways through a commercial property, we have the experience to get it done right.
Types of Flatwork We Install
Flatwork is any horizontal concrete surface that is not a slab or foundation. We install all types for residential and commercial properties:
- Front and back walkways connecting different areas
- Public sidewalks along streets and property lines
- Garden paths through landscaping
- Stepping stone walks with grass or gravel between
- Wheelchair ramps and accessible pathways
Each type requires specific planning. Ramps need the right slope to meet ADA guidelines. Garden paths work best with curves that follow your landscape design. Public sidewalks must meet city codes for width and placement.
We can also add decorative finishes and stamped patterns to make your walkways stand out. A plain concrete path is functional, but a stamped or colored walkway becomes a design feature that adds value to your property.
Planning Your Walkway Layout
Good walkway design considers how people actually move around your property. We look at natural traffic patterns and create paths that make sense. A walkway that cuts across the yard at an odd angle will just get walked around instead of used.
Width matters too. A main walkway to your front door should be at least four feet wide so two people can walk side by side. Secondary paths can be narrower. We also think about how the walkway connects to your driveway or other surfaces.
Drainage is critical in walkway design. We slope the concrete away from buildings and create a slight crown in the center. This keeps water from pooling and prevents ice buildup during cold snaps. Even in Las Vegas, proper drainage matters during our occasional heavy rains.
We can help you plan a layout that works with your existing landscape and future plans. Whether you want simple and straight or curved and decorative, we design walkways that fit your property and style.
How We Install Quality Flatwork
Walkway installation starts with proper excavation. We dig down far enough to create a stable base and remove roots or organic material that could cause settling. Then we add and compact gravel in layers. This base will not move or wash away over time.
Next we set the forms to the correct width and height. Forms guide the concrete and create clean edges. We double check slope and levels before any concrete arrives. This prep work is what separates professional flatwork from a quick DIY job.
During the pour, we work the concrete into all the corners and smooth the surface. We add control joints every few feet to manage any minor cracking as the concrete cures. The surface finish depends on what you chose, from smooth troweled to broom finish to stamped patterns.
After the concrete sets up, we remove the forms and clean up the edges. The new walkway needs a few days to cure before regular use. We let you know exactly when you can walk on it and when it is ready for heavy traffic or landscaping work nearby.
